HUMAN RIGHTS ACT UNDER THREAT

Rationale VENUE PROGRAM Presenters HRA Myths Useful Links Poster.pdf

The Human Rights Act has brought a sea-change in justice and fairness in Britain. This meeting aims to help us understand how the Act works to bring security to us all. However, many remain suspicious, and this is often increased by exaggerations and untruths from the media, particularly the right wing press. The threat of a reversal of the Act is illustrated in a motion before the House of Commons to repeal the HRA (see Program: Action Outcomes PROGRAM).
